Site Engineers Mobilise to Ghana Gold Mine

TDC Parsons Peebles’ site services engineers have successfully completed a mobilisation to a gold processing mine in the Tarkwa region of Ghana while strictly adhering to local government covid guidelines.

The challenging work scope involved replacing a diode assembly and excitation control panel in our client’s Parsons Peebles motor, originally manufactured in 1974, during a planned outage. With assistance from Excitation & Engineering Services Ltd‘s commissioning engineers, TDC Parsons Peebles’ site engineers successfully completed the installation and commissioning of the 3750kW, 11kV, 50Hz, 226A, 600rpm SAG Mill motor diode assembly and excitation control panel.
