Our Facility

Parsons Peebles Generation Limited offices and manufacturing facility is located north of Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh on the banks of the River Forth. Overlooking the famous Forth road and rail bridges within the Royal Dockyard at Rosyth, our site covers an area of 8,303m2 consisting of an office block equating to 300m2 and a manufacturing area of 4,338m2.

The manufacturing facility consists of a comprehensively equipped workshop designed to enhance an efficient workflow during manufacture. Our main bay has an overhead lifting capacity of 63 Tonnes with further lifting capacity in other areas of 2 x 25 Tonnes and 1 x 15Tonnes.

Our stamping shop has the flexibility to manufacture laminations not only from our own design but also from samples of laminations from other manufacturers’ machines. We can supply laminations only or build them into existing stator frames or rotor shafts.

There are 2 No gas powered drying ovens and a varnish dipping tank for impregnation of stators and windings. 

As well as having a Craven lathe with a capacity of 60 tonne and 5m long, within the Patersons Quarries group we have full access to all types of turning, milling, drilling, horizontal boring, cnc machining as well as laser and profile burning, rolling, folding and guillotine capabilities.

We also boast one of the most comprehensive test facilities in Europe which enables us to carry out direct load testing of Induction motors up to 8MW @ 60Hz or 7.5MW @ 50Hz and Generators up to 75MW via the open or short circuit method.
